Indoor air quality at the Arab governmental girls’ schools

Background: A proper and adequate school environment is important for an effective learning process maintaining the health of students as they spend most their time in schools. The physical includes structures; presence chemicals biological agents; surrounding environment, including air, water, materials. This study aimed to evaluate indoor air quality (IAQ) governmental girls’ schools Kingdom Saudi Arabia (KSA). Methods: Seventeen were randomly selected Eastern Province KSA. levels PM10 PM2.5, volatile organic compounds, CO, NO2, CO2 measured at different sites inside each during four months year 2020. In addition, a pre-designed questionnaire was used safety preparedness same schools. Results: Levels six pollutants higher adjacent roads with moderate traffic activity than low very activity.
